Osprey Nest and Full Moon
There is an Osprey nest near the St.Mary Visitor Center on the East side of Glacier National Park.....there is even a webcam that you can watch the progress of these 3 youngsters and their parents....the chicks are just learning to fly.......moon rising in background.
Sunset from the Visitor Center.
There were a couple Astronomers who had several telescopes set up in the parking lot for the public to look at...Jupiter was to the right of the moon....and they were super excited that tonight at 10:34 the 4 visible moons of Jupiter (there are 64 moons) would go either in front of or behind as to make them disappear...won't happen again for 60 years....it was mostly fun to watch their excitement!!
I took this photo of the Moon with my camera...handheld and zoomed in all the way.
