Family Thanksgiving in Geronimo

Having a toast before the meal. Not all of us here for this photo as there were 16 total! We had turkey, smoked hams, cornbread dressing, Asian rice dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry dressing, rolls, fruit salad, and lots of desserts...I am probably forgetting something....it was a huge meal! Some of the chefsWe have a tradition of baking sugar cookies, cutting out the shapes and then decorating them...its always fun to laugh at each others creations.

An Outing at the family ranch

I was lucky to have several of my family members travel here to Texas for the holiday. They came from Louisiana, Georgia, Arizona, New Mexico, Old Mexico, Dallas, and Austin! We gathered on the Guadalupe River at the ranch to skip rocks and enjoy the peace, tranquility and the warm weather! Kevin and Pam took home one of the Blue Lacy puppies...(the state Dog of Texas)that Laura Beth raises....Kaleb sure wanted one. Laura Beth and Flor de Maria readying one of the horses to ride.Fairen wanted to go swimming.

Camping in Baja California Sur Mexico

What a treat it was to camp here in the foothills with a beautiful clear stream coming out of the canyon...a remote place and not yet too discovered by tourists....therefore I will not reveal the location....one of the best things about it was the hot springs.... someone had built a little cement bath to hold the water coming out the side of the hill....a natural bath while camping is a real luxury! Especially at night when the moon is out and the air is cold!! Unbelievably romantic!

Baja finally!!

I was really happy to make a trip back to the Baja!! I flew into La Paz in the southern part of the peninsula...only a couple hours north of Cabo San Lucas.
Directly north of town are some amazing beaches....Balandra, Tecolote and then a great view of Isla Espiritu Santo.
This rock is a landmark at Playa Balandra...El Hongo..the mushroom.
