Lavender fields along the way

On the way to El Cerrito, a small village on the Pecos River, we passed a lavender field where a couple from Albuquerque were selling little bundles of the fragrant herb that they grew in this field irrigated from the nearby Pecos using that ancient method of the acequia (human made ditch diverted from the river).
There was also this huge tree that was probably 20 feet in diameter!
