Driving through Redwood National and State Parks...some really old growth forests! These colossal trees require a lot of water (500 gallons a day!) and so the Pacific coast is perfect. A third of their thirst is quenched with FOG!
Avenue of the Giants
I had heard about the drive thru Redwoods and when I inquired about them, was told this was the only one I would be able to fit in...however once I got the nose of the van in, I decided it would be too tight and not worth scraping the tree or the van. It is a living redwood and I had to pay $5 for the photo privilege.
