Spent most of the morning learning to make AREPAS (Venezeulan corncakes)....Flor de Maria has it down due to her Columbian roots and the fact that her grandmother taught her, insisting she watch for 4 years before she could try it!! Well Dinah and I both tried and its not easy...we never did get it! They have to be just perfect to come out right.....we slit them open and filled them with butter or mole and chicken or whatever you want....yummmmmeeeeee!!!

Making Arepas
Spent most of the morning learning to make AREPAS (Venezeulan corncakes)....Flor de Maria has it down due to her Columbian roots and the fact that her grandmother taught her, insisting she watch for 4 years before she could try it!! Well Dinah and I both tried and its not easy...we never did get it! I'm glad you liked the Arepas! I don't know how to make them myself, and I grew up around them!
