A friend came to celebrate and we built the first fire in the little Horno that some students from Florida had built in the backyard of the schoolhouse. It was built of adobe blocks and worked just fine! providing a warm and toasty fire through the evening.....we did cook in it using some of the coals to grill some zuccini squash, but I have yet to bake in one the traditional way!!
